John Shoemaker first opened Shoemaker Welding in 1973 at a small shop located in Petaluma, California.  In 1991, he made a short move to the neighboring town of Penngrove to a larger facility giving him the much needed space for larger jobs and expansion for equipment.  During this time his youngest son, Trevor was by his side learning the business and the art of welding.  In 2012, John decided to retire and move out of state to follow his dreams, leaving Trevor to take over the business.  With over 30 years experience, Trevor and his staff can create, repair and build just about anything that comes through our doors.
 
We specialize not only in structural steel fabrication for commercial and residential construction, but we also offer various services for equipment repair, architectural, ornamental and custom creation designs.
 
We're a fully certified shop with certificates for structural, aluminum, stainless steel and pipe.  We also have a  C-51 Structural Steel license with the CSLB - California State Licensing Board.
